Mr. Ruwoldt was appointed Chief Executive Officer of Catskill Regional Medical Center (CRMC) in July 2007. He oversees all day-to-day operations of CRMC's facilities in Harris and Callicoon.
Mr. Ruwoldt has accumulated over 23 years of hospital administration experience. Prior to joining CRMC, he served as President of Lutheran Hospital in Cleveland, Ohio. Mr. Ruwoldt's hospital administration experience also includes the position of Vice President, Professional Services for Pinnacle Health System and Capital Health System, both in Harrisburg, Pa. He previously held the positions of Cost Control Coordinator and Vice President, Professional Services at Mt. Clemens General Hospital in Mt. Clemens, Mich.
Mr. Ruwoldt holds a Master of Hospital Administration degree from the University of Michigan and Bachelor of Science degrees in Biology and Pharmacy from Wayne State University. He has a Fellowship pending from the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE).
Mr. Ruwoldt is currently on the Sullivan County Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors, a member of the Lions Club, and a member of the Sullivan County Partnership for Economic Development.
Dr. Panzarino oversees the Hospitalist Program, Physician Services, Employed Physicians, Case Management and Medical Staff office at CRMC.
Dr. Panzarino has a long career in academic, clinical and administrative psychiatry including faculty appointments to the University of Colorado, Harvard Medical School, University of California Los Angeles (UCLA) and University of California San Diego (UCSD). He is an examiner for the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (ABPN) and a Distinguished Fellow of the American Psychiatric Association (APA). He maintains a clinical practice in association with other mental health professionals in Monticello, N.Y.
Dr. Panzarino graduated from Yale College and Yale Medical School. He completed his Internship and Chief Residency at the University of Colorado. He also has a certificate in Business Administration from UCLA's Anderson School of Management.
Mr. Fisher joined CRMC in April 2009 and assumed the responsibilities for the oversight and management of the hospital's finances.
Mr. Fisher brings over 30 years of health care executive experience to CRMC. Most recently, he served as Chief Financial Officer of the Hospital Division at Regent Surgical Health, LLC in Chicago, Ill. A large portion of Mr. Fisher's career was spent in Pennsylvania where he held the positions of President and Chief Executive Officer at Brookville Hospital; Senior Vice President, Chief Financial Officer and Secretary-Treasurer of Bradford Regional Medical Center; Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Berwick Hospital Center and Chief Financial Officer of The Bloomsburg Hospital.
Mr. Fisher earned a Master of Business Administration degree from Wilkes University and a Bachelor's in Business Administration degree from Bloomsburg University. He holds Fellowship status in the American College of Healthcare Executives and the Healthcare Financial Management Association.
Mrs. Gentile recently joined the executive staff at CRMC where she oversees all nursing care services departments as well as the Bio-Chemical Dependency Unit, Mental Health Unit, Nursing Administration office and Nursing at the Grover M. Hermann Hospital in Callicoon.
Prior to joining CRMC, Mrs. Gentile served as acting Vice President/Chief Nursing Officer at Newton Memorial Hospital in Newton, N.J. where she was in charge of the Patient Care Services Program. Among her responsibilities was the oversight of nursing care compliance with national regulatory agencies including The Joint Commission.
Mrs. Gentile's health care experience also includes her roles as Director of Women's & Children's Services and as Manager of Neonatal Intensive Care at Good Samaritan Hospital in Suffern, N.Y. She also worked as a Perinatal Clinical Nurse Specialist at the University of Chicago Medical Center.
Mrs. Gentile earned her Master of Nursing degree from Lewis University. Additionally, she has earned registered nurse certifications from the American Heart Association (AHA), American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP), University of Chicago, and the American Nurses Association (ANA). Mrs. Gentile is a member of the National Association of Neonatal Nurses (NANN), American Nurses Association (ANA), and Sigma Theta Tau, the international honor society of nursing.
Mr. Mendelsohn has served in various professional administrative capacities at CRMC since 1981. In his role as Corporate Compliance Officer, Mr. Mendelsohn oversees the hospital's Corporate Compliance Program to ensure CRMC's best practices with New York State, Federal, and non-governmental rules and regulations. He also oversees the CRMC Health Information Library, grant writing, HIPAA privacy, and serves as the Administrator of the Grover M. Hermann Hospital in Callicoon.
Mr. Mendelsohn graduated from New York University with a Master of Public Administration degree Summa cum laude with a Health Services concentration. He sits on the Board of Directors-Executive Committee of the Catskill/Hudson Area Health Education Center. He also is an Emeritus Member and on the Board of Directors of Hospice of Orange and Sullivan Counties. Mr. Mendelsohn is an Emeritus Member of Maternal-Infant Services Network of Orange, Sullivan and Ulster Counties (MISN), as well as a member of Sullivan County Rural Health Network.
Mr. Kitson is one of the longest-tenured employees at CRMC, having served the hospital for over 30 years. Currently he oversees CRMC's: Engineering, Maintenance, Food Service, Environmental Services, Security, Communications, Bio-Medical Engineering, Laundry, Grounds Departments, the Environment of Care Committee and is the hospital's Safety Officer. Mr. Kitson is a graduate of Adirondack College in Lake George, N.Y. where he received an education in Refrigeration, Air Conditioning and Heating. Prior to this, he completed a two-year course in Commercial and Residential Electricity. He is licensed in New York State Water Treatment as well as Environmental Protection Agency Universal Refrigerant Handling.
Mr. Kitson is a member of several trade organizations including the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE), Hospital Engineers Society of Southern New York (HEGNY), New York Rural Water Association (NYRWA), and the National Fire Protection Agency (NFPA). He is a member of the Parkston Sportsmen Club and the Liberty Elks Lodge 1545 and donates refrigeration and air conditioning services to the Grahamsville Fire Department and the Lions Club.
Mrs. Orr was promoted to the position of Assistant Vice President, Professional Services in August 2009 and oversees the Radiology, Cardiopulmonary, Laboratory, Rehabilitative Services and Physician Practices departments at CRMC. Mrs. Orr is a highly skilled career professional with more than 19 years practical and management experience in hospital, specialty office and family health center environments.
Mrs. Orr has been a staff member of CRMC her entire career and has held several management positions with growing responsibility, including Nurse Manager of the Women’s Health Center, Clinical Operations Manager for Physician Practices, and Director of Physician Practices. Orr holds an Associates Degree in Nursing from Sullivan County Community College, and is currently working towards a Masters Degree in Nursing Program Leadership and Management from Western Governors University. Mrs. Orr is a current member of the American Academy of Medical Management and the Healthcare Financial Management Association (HFMA).
Mrs. DeFrank has accrued over 13 years of human resource experience. Her duties include the planning, development and implementation of all phases of the Human Resources function including employment, compensation, employee relations, training, employee health, and employee benefits. Mrs. DeFrank leads CRMC's Customer Service initiatives with the goal to increase employee and patient satisfaction.
Mrs. DeFrank attended both Sullivan County Community College and Marist College. She received her Professional in Human Resources (PHR) certification and is a member of the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM). She is also a board member for Sullivan County Workforce Development.
Mr. McGuirk joined CRMC in November 2009 as Director of Marketing & Public Relations. He oversees all of the hospital’s marketing and public relations functions at the main campus in Harris, the Grover M. Hermann Hospital in Callicoon and all offsite locations. In addition, Mr. McGuirk also manages CRMC’s community outreach programs.
During his 15 years as a marketing professional, Mr. McGuirk has worked in several marketing and business development capacities for local and global firms. Most recently, he held the position of Assistant Vice President of Marketing and Communications with Endurance Services Limited, a publicly-traded company, developing its global advertising and public relations campaigns. Previously, Mr. McGuirk was the Assistant Vice President of Marketing for Irwin Siegel Agency in Rock Hill, N.Y., where he led all marketing activities for the national company which specializes in insurance and risk management services for the social services field. His experience also encompasses marketing management positions for several dot-com companies.
Mr. McGuirk holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing and Management from Siena College in Loudonville, N.Y.
