Cancer Services Program of Sullivan County provides free breast, cervical and colorectal cancer screening to low income, uninsured and underinsured men and women in Sullivan County.

Our providers offer:

  • Clinical Breast Exam every year for low income, uninsured women over 40.
  • Pelvic Exam with Pap Test every two years for low income, uninsured women over 40.
  • Screening Mammogram every year for low income, uninsured women over 40.
  • Colon Cancer Screening Kit every year for low income, uninsured women and men over 50.
  • Screening Colonoscopy for low income, uninsured women and men at elevated or high risk for developing colon cancer.
  • Diagnostic Tests (diagnostic mammogram, sonogram, colonoscopy, breast or cervical biopsy, surgical consults), for clients whose screening exams suggest that further testing is required.
  • Case Management for clients who require follow-up or diagnostic testing. Our Case Managers can help clients make appointments, arrange for transportation to and from doctor visits etc. They will also make appropriate referrals to health and human service agencies as necessary.
  • Enrollment in the Medicaid Cancer Treatment program for financially eligible clients who are diagnosed with breast, cervical or colorectal cancer.

** Women under the age of 40 who are at high risk for developing breast or cervical cancer may also be eligible for screening.

Beginning April 1, 2009 women interested in getting their mammograms and pap tests through the Sullivan County Cancer Screening Partnership (formerly the Healthy Women's Partnership) must contact the Partnership at 845.794.3300, extension 2844 before they receive screenings on the Health Mobile. This includes patients who have had previous screenings through the Partnership on the Health Mobile as well as patients who received a recall letter regarding their annual screenings. Unfortunately, failure to contact the Partnership before your screening exams may jeopardize your eligibility for this free screening program. We apologize for the inconvenience. Again, the number to call is 845.794.3300, ext. 2844.

Providers:

Cancer Services Program of Sullivan County contracts with many local physicians and nurse practitioners to provide services to our clients. Each of the providers is credentialed to provider clinical breast exams, pap tests and pelvic exams by the New York State Department Of Health (NYSDOH). Please call us to see if your primary care physician works with our program.

Our clients may also use the CRMC Health Mobile for their screening visits.
