CRMC features a state-of-the-art Computed Tomography (CT) system at its main campus in Harris, N.Y. The LightSpeed® VCT 64-configured system from GE Healthcare is one of the most technologically advanced diagnostic tools available for helping physicians reach confident diagnoses to provide the best patient care.
The 64-slice CT system delivers high quality images of the brain, heart, musculoskeletal system, spine and vascular system. Additionally, the new system provides high-tech 3D angiography, which allows the radiologist to image various organs and vascular areas using only an IV injection, avoiding more invasive procedures. This advanced CT technology incorporates improved resolution and lowers the radiation dose by 30-40 percent over conventional CT systems.
Furthermore, the system is specifically designed to accommodate pediatric patients using low-dose techniques. The CT system is located in close proximity to the Emergency Department, which allows for trauma needs to be facilitated in a timely manner.
CRMC provides Board-certified radiologist interpretations 24/7 within 30 minutes. Our staff also includes a staff CT-certified technologist on site 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and two specially-trained registered nurses available during scheduled hours.
The LightSpeed® 16-slice CT system from GE Healthcare gives western Sullivan County and its surrounding communities access to nearby CT imaging services.
The 16-slice CT system delivers high quality images of the brain, heart, musculoskeletal system, spine and vascular system, and non-invasively assists physicians in the diagnosis of a variety of anatomical areas. CT exams are used when people are ill or injured, or when a physician suspects a medical problem that is not easily detected from a conventional physical examination.

CRMC features a wide-bore GE Healthcare Optima MR450W 1.5T magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) system.
The advanced MRI system offers many benefits to CRMC’s patients, including faster imaging results (which reduces exam times), enhanced image quality, allowing accurate and timely diagnosis, and a wide-bore opening, making the MRI system more comfortable and convenient for larger individuals, children and those prone to claustrophobia.
An MRI non-invasively assists physicians in the diagnosis of a variety of anatomical areas including the head, neck, spine, abdomen, pelvis, joints, prostate, blood vessels and musculoskeletal regions of the body.
Your doctor writes the prescription, but you choose where to have your MRI. At CRMC you can make your appointment and have your MRI all in the same day. Your doctor may even receive your results before you get home.

CRMC performs screening mammography as well as diagnostic mammography in Harris with state-of-the-art equipment. There is a Radiologist on site for diagnostic mammography.
CRMC's mammography services include needle localization for excisional breast biopsies. Our technologists are highly-trained individuals who are American Registrar of Technologists (ARRT)-certified. CRMC physicians are also highly trained in mammography interpretation and performing wire placement procedures for excisional biopsies.
The Mammography Department is accredited by the American College of Radiology.
Mammography services available at the Women's Health Center in Monticello feature Selenia™ digital mammography, incorporating digital imaging technology that provides incredibly sharp breast images. The images appear on the technologist’s monitor in a matter of seconds, so there is no waiting for film to develop, which means less time in the breast imaging suite for patients.
Digital mammography offers a variety of practical advantages and patient conveniences. Since film is not used in the process, it significantly reduces the need for repeat exams due to under or over exposure. Digital images are also easily stored and transferred electronically, eliminating the dependency on one set of original films, which can be misfiled or lost in transit. The radiologist can magnify the images, increase or decrease the contrast, and invert the black and white values while reading the images. These features make it easier for the radiologist to evaluate microcalcifications and focus on areas of concern.
The CRMC Women’s Health Center is a certified Pink Ribbon Facility, a distinction awarded to a select group of health care facilities nationally, and is committed to the fight against breast cancer. To schedule a mammogram or for additional information about this important procedure, contact 845-794-3300 ext. 2226.
