C.T. Services

Hours:
Monday - Friday: 8 a.m. - 6 p.m.
Saturday: 8 a.m.-4 p.m.

CRMC has recently installed a new state-of-the-art Computed Tomography (CT) system at its main campus in Harris, NY. The LightSpeed¨ VCT 64 configured system from GE Healthcare is one of the most technologically advanced diagnostic tools available for helping physicians reach confident diagnoses to provide the best patient care.

The new 64 slice CT system delivers high quality images of the brain, heart, muscular-skeletal system, spine and vascular system. In addition, the new system provides hi-tech 3-D angiography, which allows the radiologist to image various organs and vascular problems using only an IV injection thereby avoiding more invasive procedures. This advanced CT technology incorporates improved resolution and lowers radiation dose by 30-40 percent over conventional CT systems.

Additionally, the system is specifically designed to accommodate pediatric patients using low-dose techniques. The CT system is located in close proximity to the Emergency Department which allows for trauma needs to be facilitated in a timely manner.

CRMC provides Board Certified radiologist interpretations 24/7 within 30 minutes. Our staff also includes a staff CT Certified Technologist on site 24/7 and two specially-trained registered nurses available during scheduled hours.

Diagnostic Imaging

Hours:

CRMC Diagnostic Imaging Department provides a full range of muscular and skeletal procedures. In addition, our new Fluoroscopy unit provides high-level gastrointestinal imaging procedures and its low-dose radiation applications make it well suited for pediatric patients.

Diagnostic images are provided by Computer Radiography (CR) and integrated to the Picture Archive Communication System (PACS) which maintains high-level-quality imaging with low-radiation dose compared to conventional filming. Additionally, CR imaging provides fast results as all images are viewed online by a American College of Radiology certified radiologist.
